Spoonz Lakeside Tavern Opens in Fenton

Spoonz Lakeside Tavern opened its doors for the first time Tuesday.

The restaurant/bar opened in the former Tee-Bonez site after months of construction and clean-up.

"It's been a little hectic, but we opened the doors, people came in and we already have people making reservations," manager Sam Khal said.

The restaurant will offer a rotating menu, along with live bands outdoors in the summer and many docks on Lake Ponemah for boats to park.

"Everyone is really excited," said Sarah Hester, girlfriend of owner Scott Spooner. "We have a really good staff and a lot of good people working here.
