Storm Quickly Moves Through Fenton

The National Weather Service issued warnings of a severe thunderstorm, but Fenton appears to have escaped any major damage.

The storm was expected to hit Fenton around 3:45 p.m. and the warning said it could include quarter-sized hail and winds up to 70 mph.  

While heavy winds were reported, the Fenton Fire Department had no damage reported.  There were some arcing wires in Fenton Township, according to the Geneseee County 911 Consortium.

A thunderstorm watch remains in effect in Genesee County until 9 p.m.
