Woman Sent to Hospital with Head Injury after US 23 Crash
Two cars collide around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Rescue crews transported a woman to the hospital with a head injury after a two-car collision on US 23 near North Road around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Fenton Police Lt. Jason Slater said he was assisting a driver of a broke down vehicle on US 23, causing traffic to move to the fast lane. Slater said the driver of one vehicle continued past him in the fast lane at a high rate of speed and rear-ended another vehicle. The crash caused the vehicle that was rear-ended to lose control, moving it across the highway and off to the side of the road.
Crews transported the driver of the first vehicle to Genesys Regional Medical Center after she complained of a head injury. She was conscious and alert, Slater said.
