Worst of Storm Avoids Fenton

 Fenton seems to have dodged the worst of the storm.

While there was a tornado warning for Genesee and Livingston County, Fenton Fire Deputy Chief Ed Hadfield said the worst has gone by.

“The heavy stuff is past us,” he said. “Unless something pops up, we are pretty well set.”

The tornado warning remains in effect until 6:45 p.m.

Hadfield said it Fenton will likely receive heavy rain, but likely no tornados, unless something new comes up.

There was some damage reported in Tyrone Township from heavy winds, which knocked down several trees in the area.
