UPDATED: 5 Things You Should Know This Weekend in Ferndale

      1. Shakespeare in the Park will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, through Saturday, Aug. 3, and 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4., at Starr Jaycee Park in Royal Oak. The outdoor professional theatre event will feature The Merry Wives of Windsor and Much Ado About Nothing. Tickets are $8-$20.
      2. St. James church in Ferndale will hold it annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.
      3. The Oak Park Summer Splash will kick off at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Oak Park Community Pool. The event will include swimming, music, games and more.
      4. The Oak Park Art (OPA!) Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Oak Park Community Center. The event will feature glass artists, fiber artists, photographers, ceramic artists, painters, jewelers, sculptors and mixed media artists.
      5. Superhero VBS Sundays will be held at 10 a.m. Sundays through the end of August at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Ferndale. The event will include themed lessons, games, crafts, snacks, prizes and more.
