Chelsea is coming off a tough 55–53 loss to Ypsilanti Lincoln, decided by a last-second putback after Lincoln erased an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit in SEC-White play.
   

• Chase Sanborn Hunt (centraljersey.com) — Ferndale readers may remember Rev. Chase Sanborn Hunt, who once led Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church and is being fondly remembered after his passing at age 95. The longtime minister, Air Force veteran, and devoted family man later served at Princeton Theological Seminary and retired to East Lansing, where a December 29 memorial service will celebrate his life of faith, music, and storytelling.
