Ferndale Intersections Closing Due To Woodward Avenue Road Work
Here's what you need to know about road closings in Ferndale due to the ongoing Woodward Avenue road project.
FERNDALE, MI — Some intersections in Ferndale are closing Wednesday for a few weeks due to road work on Woodward Avenue.
Nine Mile Road, Cambourne and Marshall streets in Ferndale will all be affected by the road work, which is expected to take between 3-4 weeks to compete.
Construction crews are removing a driving lane in each direction of Woodward Avenue in Ferndale to add bike lanes. Crews are also extending curbs, improving drainage and resurfacing portions of the road.

Here are the Ferndale intersections that will close as early as Wednesday:
- Cambourne Street - Open to eastbound traffic one-way only. Closed to westbound trafficDetour: Hilton Road., 9 Mile Road., and Pinecrest Drive.
- Nine Mile Road - Open to westbound traffic one-way only. Closed to eastbound traffic. Detour: Hilton Road., 8 Mile Road., and Livernois Street.
- Marshall Street - Open to westbound traffic one-way only. Closed to eastbound traffic. Detour: Hilton Road., 8 Mile Road., and Livernois Street.
