Ferndale Restaurants Compete for Top Honors in Detroit Burger Brawl

Metro Detroit’s leading restaurant chefs will compete head-to-head in a hamburger grinding and grilling challenge at the Detroit Burger Brawl 2013 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Fairway Packing, 1313 Erskine, in Eastern Market.

Restaurants, including Ferndale's Local Kitchen and Bar and One-Eyed Betty’s, will create their own special meat blend on-site, grill up their creations and face a panel of judges that will determine the winner.

The last burger standing will be named “Detroit’s Best Burger of 2013.”

Burger-lovers are invited to taste competition burgers, watch the action and enjoy Historic Eastern Market for a suggested $10 donation.
