In 2019, the community was asked to vote on a bond that would update safety and security at all District schools, address long term maintenance projects and the construction of a new high school. Part of this commitment was to install a community-led committee that would have line of sight to the inner workings of all aspects of these projects to ensure that the School District delivered the projects on time, on budget and as promised. The primary focus and responsibility are to help drive conversation and advise the School Board on their decisions as they pertain to the Bond projects.

Now that we are nearly half-way through this process, the Bond Oversight Committee is looking to fill two alternate positions for the remainder of the term. Responsibilities include attending the regular monthly BOC meeting and reviewing documents provided by the District and Construction Services Group. The alternate may contribute to conversations and ask critical questions to help drive clarity and transparency but holds no voting privileges.

For questions or to learn more about the application process, contact co-chairs, Riley Cornelsen or Anya Milton.
