Ferndale School District: Lummi Nation Authorizes Vaccinations For Ferndale School District Staff

Thanks to the generosity of the Lummi Nation, every member of the Ferndale School District staff has been invited to get a Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday, February 27, at a special clinic at the Silver Reef Casino Event Center.

According to Vista Principal and enrolled Lummi Tribal Member Heather Leighton, “The Lummi Nation sees this as a way to protect our children and our community. Our children go to school and then return home to the reservation to be with our families. Vaccinating FSD staff helps decrease the chances of transmission within the boundaries of the reservation as well as in our schools.”
