Glam Geek Kicks Off Four-Day Grand Opening Celebration

The shop at 318 W. Nine Mile Road will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 14, followed by three days of special events.

A new beauty boutique will celebrate its grand opening this week in Ferndale.

Glam Geek – which offers natural, cruelty-free cosmetics made in the United States, as well as clothing and styling –  will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 318 W. Nine Mile Road.

The event will include food, drinks, discounts, giveaways and music and be followed up by the following three days of events.

  • Thursday, Aug. 15: Glam Geek will offer discounts up to 70 percent during a sidewalk sale.
  • Friday, Aug. 16: Glam Geek Beauty Day will offer free consultations, $2 off lipstick and $5 off makeup applications.
  • Saturday, Aug. 17: Glam Geek will host the "Synergy" vintage fashion show at the Magic Stick in Detroit.

"Glam Geek also offers an authentic and unique collection of vintage clothing and accessories. We strive to bring fashions in all sizes and also to limit item inventory for exclusivity."
