Grace Centers of Hope Raised Over $99K For Matching Grant Challenge
For a second straight year, Madison Heights-based CAPS Remodeling served as a catalyst to boost donations for the nonprofit organization

PONTIAC, Mich. — June 22, 2022 — Grace Centers of Hope (GCH) today announced that it raised more than $99,000 in community donations, far surpassing a $10,000 matching grant challenge from Madison Heights-based CAPS Remodeling that was held in May. This is the second consecutive year where CAPS supported a highly successful fundraising campaign for the Pontiac-based nonprofit. Funds raised will provide support toward GCH’s comprehensive homeless and life skills education programs for men, women and children that provide food, shelter, clothing, work skills development, and other life-changing services.
“It’s a true blessing to receive such a tremendous amount of support from individual and corporate donors who generously provide to help individuals and families who have faced difficult challenges in life,” said Grace Centers of Hope CEO Pastor Kent W. Clark. “We’re especially grateful for our friendship with Jeff Cates at CAPS Remodeling and his generous grant that helped us far exceed our fundraising goal for a second straight year. As a nonprofit organization that doesn’t accept any government funding and solely relies on our selfless neighbors in the community, we are thankful to all who contributed to this effort.”
For 80 years, Grace Centers of Hope has been a beacon of hope for thousands of men, women and children who have experienced abuse, addiction, poverty, and spiritual emptiness. Every night, the nonprofit accommodates between 150-200 men, women and children. It serves more than 125,000 meals annually and provides more than 55,000 nights of stay.
