Man Rapes Woman At Oakland Co. Motel, Bites Part Of Her Ear Off: Cops
Police said the incident happened last weekend at a motel in Royal Oak Township.
ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, MI — A 23-year-old Detroit man is facing charges after physically and sexually assaulting a woman at an Oakland County motel, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.
Jacob Macklis was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to maim, assault by strangulation, felonious assault, domestic violence and two counts of third-degree child abuse.
He was placed in the Oakland County Jail with a bond set at $750,000. If convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, Macklis faces up to life in prison.

The incident happened last Saturday at the American Inn in Royal Oak Township where officers were called after receiving reports of a woman and children screaming for help, according to police.
When they arrived, they saw Macklis holding a 35-year-old woman by her hair and punching her in the face, according to police.

Investigators also said Macklis raped the woman and bit a part of her ear off, as well as hitting her two children.
"The level of violence in this case is shocking," said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald in a news release. "My heart goes out to this woman and her children for what they had to endure. My office will pursue the maximum charges against this defendant because his victims deserve justice."
