Man Throws Rocks Through Glass Windows At Ferndale Businesses: Police
A Ferndale man is in trouble after vandalizing multiple businesses over the holiday season, according to police.
FERNDALE, MI — A Ferndale man is in trouble after vandalizing multiple businesses over the holiday season, according to police.
Christopher Williams, 54, was charged with malicious destruction of property, which is a misdemeanor. He was placed in jail with a $1,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 21.
Police said Williams threw rocks through glass windows of multiple downtown Ferndale businesses, including the 359 Fit Gym on 9 Mile Road around 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27.

Williams also threw rocks through glass windows at a Dairy Queen on 9 Mile Road on New Year's Eve and the nearby Red Olive Restaurant later that night, according to police.
Using surveillance video and shared photos, investigators identified Williams as the man throwing the rocks, according to police.

At 9:30 a.m. Friday, an officer spotted a man matching the Williams’s description walking east on 9 Mile near Paxton, according to police.
Officers then arrested Williams in connection with the vandalism incidents, according to police.
