New Coffee Shop Opens In Oakland County

FERNDALE, MI — A new Michigan-based coffee shop opened Friday in Oakland County.

Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters opened their new flagship cafe location at 927 Hilton Road, between Eight and Nine Mile roads in Ferndale. The location will also serve as the company's headquarters.

"Ferndale is an outstanding city and business community that fosters entrepreneurial companies like ours, with its creativity, ethos and community focus," Dessert Oasis President Nathan Hamood said. "While this will be a more centrally located headquarters for us to support future growth, our goal in Ferndale is to be the best neighbor and community member we can be. We also want to thank our event sponsors."

The new Ferndale location will be the company's fourth location. There's also shops in Rochester, Detroit and Royal Oak. Hamood said the company's goals prove to be a gathering place for the community to enjoy fresh baked goods, live music and roasted craft coffee.

"We believe growth of the company should only serve the purpose of bettering what we do as a company, achieving the best possible products and customer service, while providing opportunities for our people to grow their careers in coffee," Hamood said.
