Parents Invited to Internet Safety Seminar on Monday
The event, held at Coolidge Intermediate School in Ferndale, will teach parents how to find the Michigan Sex Offender Registry, access their child's social networking sites and more.

The Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative and Coolidge Intermediate School, in
conjunction with Ferndale Youth Assistance, invites parents and adults to attend the Michigan CSI Community Seminar Internet Safety Presentation on Monday.
Parents and adults will learn important information including how to access the Michigan Sex Offender Registry and sign up to receive e-mail updates as well as how to obtain reliable information on parental control software.
Parents will also receive instructions for using online tutorials on how to search and access your childβs social networking sites, view internet history logs to determine where your children have been online and access and modify settings for safer surfing on Internet search engines such as Yahoo and Google.

This seminar is presented by the office of Bill Schuette, Michigan Attorney General and will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Coolidge Intermediate School, 2521 Bermuda, Ferndale MI 48220.
