Popular Fine-Dining Metro Detroit Restaurant Closing For Good This Month
Restaurant staff cited current economic conditions, which they said are "less than ideal."
FERNDALE, MI — A popular Oakland County restaurant known for its fine dining is permanently closing this month.
Coeur, located along 9 Mile Road in Ferndale, will shut down for good on Oct. 19 due to the current economic climate, which it says is "less than ideal."
"When we opened Coeur, we had noble ideals: to cook with the best products, to pay our team fairly, and to create a truly special dining experience here in Ferndale that was welcoming to all," Coeur staff said. "However, the reality of this economic climate is less than ideal. Simply put: We can’t keep to our mission without raising prices beyond what makes sense for our guests."
