Woman Killed In Crash On I-75 In Oakland County: Police
Police did not immediately identify the woman as police were still trying to contact her family from out of state.
HAZEL PARK, MI — A woman was killed in a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 75 in Oakland County, according to Michigan State Police.
Police said the woman was driving a Jeep Compass north on Interstate 75 near Woodward Heights Boulevard in Hazel Park at 6:40 a.m. when she lost control of the Jeep and spun into the path of a gravel hauler.
The gravel hauler then struck the Jeep on its side and pushed it roughly 750 feet before coming to a stop, according to police.

Police said the woman who was driving the Jeep was killed in the crash.
The driver of the gravel hauler was not injured in the crash, according to police.

"Troopers are currently working to notify the family of the driver as they are out of state," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "We continue to remind drivers to slow down and drive carefully when road conditions change. Troopers investigated over 35 preventable crashes across the district since midnight."
