FERNDALE, MI — Construction crews will begin closing lanes Monday on Woodward Avenue in Ferndale and part of Pleasant Ridge, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Both northbound and southbound lanes on Woodward Avenue between Eight Mile Road and Interstate 696 will have continuous and changing lane closures. The project is expected to conclude sometime later this fall, officials said.

In each direction, only two to three lanes will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and only one to two lanes open at night and on the weekends, officials said.
