FLINT, Michigan—It’s time once again for City of Flint residents to bag their leaves for curbside collection.

“This is a beautiful time of year, but please remember to bag all your leaves to keep our streets safe and functional,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley, who noted leaves can plug storm drains and cause flooding.
The City of Flint began requiring residents to bag leaves about 10 years ago. Residents should NOT rake leaves into the street, which could result in a citation.

After Thanksgiving week, curbside yard waste pickup will no longer be offered in the City of Flint.
When curbside pickup ends, residents can drop off yard waste, including leaves, at Country Oaks Landscape Supply, 3218 E. Atherton Road in Burton, for $5 per pickup truck. Residents should call (810) 743-1920 to confirm hours and fees.
