Mott Community College will be the site of an expungement fair Saturday, Sept. 25 from noon to 6 p.m. in the Ballenger Field House on the main campus in Flint. The event is the third annual Fall Expungement Week of Action, part of Clean Slate Michigan organized by the Black and Brown Cannabis Guild and is sponsored by Cresco Labs.

An expungement fair is an event where people begin the legal procedure of having an older criminal conviction removed from their court record by a judge. Services offered at the Sept. 25 event include free background checks, free legal consultation with a licensed Michigan attorney, free notary services, and free fingerprint vouchers/appointments with Genesee Sheriff's Department.

The event will also feature employment opportunities and community wraparound services including: voter registration, education, family support programs, housing, mental health services etc.

Attendees MUST pre-register at www.bbcannabis.com/cleanslate Β 

All visitors are required to wear masks in MCC buildings and are expected to follow the MCC Standards and perform the Mandatory Health and Wellness Check before they travel to MCC.
