Winter Concerts In Michigan Bring Big Names To Local Stages (wfnt.com) — Flint music fans have several big winter shows coming, including Candlebox at The Machine Shop in early March and Air Supply at the Capitol Theatre. The statewide roundup also highlights major acts in Detroit, Mount Pleasant, and other Michigan cities, giving locals plenty of options for road-trip concerts.

2. Restaurant expanding, councilman's trial date set and more Flint-area headlines (mlive.com) — Flint residents are seeing several local changes, from City Council discussions about funding ASL interpreters for meetings to a new MTA bus route connecting Flint with the Meijer in Davison Township. A Flint councilman now has a March trial date on serious charges, and Flint-based Blackstone’s Smokehouse is expanding its footprint to Corunna.
   

3. 30-year-old Flint man identified as suspect in Grand Blanc attempted car-jacking (mlive.com) — Police have identified a 30-year-old Flint man as the suspect in an attempted carjacking in Grand Blanc Township’s Parkwood neighborhood, following tips from the public and Michigan State Police. Authorities say an 18-count felony warrant is being pursued, including multiple assault with intent to murder and firearm charges, though no court date has been set yet.
   

4. Kimberly Bedford - November 11, 1963 - December 22, 2025 (fortworthreport.org) — A woman who was born in Flint and formerly lived here, Kimberly Darago Bedford, has passed away at age 62 in Mansfield, Texas. Her funeral and visitation will be held January 2, 2026, in Fort Worth, and she is remembered lovingly by sisters including one still living in Flint, along with many nieces and nephews.
   

5. Greyhounds fall flat in first game back, lose to Spirit (sootoday.com) — Flint hockey fans will see the Firebirds visit Sault Ste. Marie on New Year’s Eve after the Greyhounds’ rough 5-1 loss to Saginaw. The story also details a major Niagara–Flint trade that sends multiple draft picks and players to and from Flint as OHL teams reshuffle after the holiday break.
