These steps will shape the Flint Commerce Center’s expansion, potential jobs, and a new pocket park while redevelopment of the contaminated site continues with substantial public support.
   

• First Flint Settlement Payments Begin as Legal Process Moves Forward (michiganchronicle.com) — Flint residents are finally seeing the first settlement checks from the water crisis, with nearly 26,000 claims approved and initial property damage payments capped at $1,000 per parcel. Checks can be picked up on Clio Road in Flint, while larger health-related payouts for children and adults are still to come, reflecting the crisis’s long-term impact on this majority-Black community.
