150K Without Power Across West Michigan After Storms

WEST MICHIGAN β More than 150,000 Consumers Energy customers in western Michigan were without power Tuesday morning after a powerful line of thunderstorms rolled through the area, according to the utility.
The largest outages were in the Muskegon, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo areas.
The utility company reminded people to stay away from downed wires and call 911 immediately, then Consumers Energy at 800-477-5050.

More thunderstorms are expected across the western Michigan region in the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.
