  1. On Sunday morning, Jun. 4, the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to two vehicle crashes that resulted in multiple serious injuries. A hit-and-run crash occurred near Century Avenue and Griggs Street between a vehicle and a motorcycle at around 3:15 a.m. The motorcycle driver, a 23-year-old Grand Rapids man, is in critical condition due to serious injuries. At around 1:15 a.m. another crash occurred at the intersection of 28th Street and Madison Avenue. A 32-year-old Wyoming woman who stopped to help is in critical condition after a third vehicle hit her and struck one of the cars involved in the crash. (WWMT)
  2. The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating reports of gunfire at the Blue Bridge on Jun. 4. According to police, the shots were reported at around 3:40 a.m., initially from a crowd of people on the bridge. No one was injured and no suspects have been identified by police as of Jun. 4.   3. The Grand Rapids Planning Commission is set to consider the proposal for a magnificent 12,000-seat amphitheater, as unveiled through captivating renderings. The imagery portrays a vibrant scene, with a band illuminated by purple light captivating fans seated in chairs, lounging on the expansive lawn, and enjoying drinks on a nearby deck. The project's successful realization hinges upon receiving special land use approval and resolving logistical challenges, including the relocation of public works operations. (MLive.com)
