Most Grand Rapids Offices Closed Jan. 18 For MLK Jr. Holiday
City of Grand Rapids offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Most City of Grand Rapids offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. They will resume normal operations Tuesday, Jan. 19.
The holiday closures on the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader's life and legacy will not impact City curbside refuse and recycling collections next week. That means Monday’s collections will take place as scheduled with no delays the rest of the week.
