New Details In Grosse Pointe Farms Crash That Killed Teen, Injured Another
One person was killed and another was injured in a Friday night crash in Grosse Pointe Farms, according to police.
GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI — A teen was killed and another was injured in a Friday night crash in Grosse Pointe Farms, according to police.
Police said a 16-year-old was speeding in a BMW X3 in the area of Ridge Road near Moran Road around 9 p.m. when it smashed into a streetlight pole.
An 18-year-old man, who was passenger in the car, was killed in the crash, police said.

The driver, who is from Grosse Pointe, was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition, police said.
"The vehicle’s event data recorder will be examined to provide further insight into the details of the crash," police said in a statement. "The accident remains under investigation."
