Alger Deli and Liquor has been a staple in Grosse Pointe for almost 40 years.

What does your business offer? 

Alger's offers an unbeatable service by family who welcomes and treats customers like family. As a specialty fine wine, craft beer, and deli, Alger's caters to the area's most exclusive tastes.

What's your most popular product or service? 

Beer, wine, and liquor of all types have been the backbone for Alger.

What do you want your business to be best known for? 

For more than 39 years, Alger's has shared a connection with the area's unique neighbors, many of whom have since become family.

When was the business founded?
 
June, 1974

How did your business come to be?  

In 1974, Alger Party Store was acquired by the Donaldson family. In 1988, the family purchased the meat market next door and expanded to what Alger's is today, known as Alger Deli and Liquor.

Why did you choose the area you did? 

With Lake St. Clair as the backdrop to the area, people are drawn in from all over to enjoy all the area has to offer. Grosse Pointe is a perfect area to provide excellent service.
