Dog Walkers Welcome at Ford House Every Sunday

A springtime program was such a success at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, officials have decided to allow it to happen every Sunday.

The Edsel and Eleanor Ford House will be extending Sunday morning dog-walking due to the success ofΒ the Dog Days of SpringΒ program, which technically ended June 2.
Officials received positive feedback about the ability to walk dogs on the Ford House grounds, Vice President of Communications Ann Fitzpatrick said.Β
The original program ran from early April to June 2 and was paired with a photography exhibit of dogs, The Nature of Dogs. The last dog-walking came on the day of the Michigan Humane Society's Annual Β Mutt March.
Dog-walking is available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. It is $5 per person or free as a member.Β Β
Those wishing to walk their dogs on the grounds are expected to clean up after their dog but Doggie Scoops will be on hand to help.Β
There are two dates that dog-walking will not be available due to other events that are already scheduled: June 16 for the annual Eyes on Design car show and Sept. 8 for the Pooch Prance.Β
