1. It'll be mostly sunny today, according to the National Weather Service, with temperatures reaching near 76 and wind between 9 to 11 miles per hour with gusts of up to 18 miles per hour. Clouds will move in at night with the temperature dipping to 60.

4. Grosse Pointe Public School Board meets tonight beginning with a closed session at 6 p.m. to discuss a personnel matter. The Board is scheduled to begin an open work session at 6:30 and then the regular board meeting at 8 p.m. The agenda includes several items for the board's vote including:

• the recall of more than a dozen teachers from layoff status
• the superintendent goals and evaluation process
• a resolution opposing Gov. Rick Snyder's Schools of Choice Proposal with the argument the district should be entitled to maintain local control
• the purchase of software intended to help students with special needs

Other discussion will include enrollment updates, class size and staff allocation based on those figures as well as a review of the candidates seeking election to the board.
