Good Morning Grosse Pointe: Aug. 25

Five quick pieces of information to get the day started in Grosse Pointe:

1. Today will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching 78, according to the National Weather Service. At night conditions will remain clear with temperature dipping to 58. 

2. that won district and state titles this year. The 9-10 team, the 11-year-old team and the 12-year-old team brought home the state titles. The 12s International Team competed at the Great Lakes Regional competition in Indianapolis, where they played four games and earned a spot in the semi-final game.

3. Grosse Pointe Public Schools instituted , which is intended to save the schools money, supplies and time. It's earning high marks from parents and students. School officials said the process is working well so far this week.

4. A Grosse Pointe Shores man is this week. Some of the rounds have been delayed due to weather. Good luck to Erik Schleicher as he continues playing this week. 

5. Grosse Pointe Public Schools and Grosse Pointe Park council approved this week. The resolutions happen in the same week some officials have heard a draft could finally be shared on the legislative floor. Grosse Pointe .
