1. The great weather might be departing the area today as the National Weather Service forecasts a 40 percent chance for rain showers. It'll be mostly cloudy with a high near 65 and a light wind of 5 to 14 miles per hour with gusts reaching up 21 miles per hour. At night the chance of rain decreases to 20 percent. Cloudy conditions will remain and the temperature will dip to 54 degrees.
2. Grosse Pointe Shores mayoral and council candidates answered a variety of questions Tuesday during a candidate forum hosted by the Grosse Pointe League of Women Voters. Many of the questions focused on transparency, bringing civility to the council and ways to ensure fiscal accountability.
