Grosse Pointe Farms MS Locked Down As Police Look For Robbery Suspect
Officers believe the suspected robber may be armed with a handgun in the Mack and Chalfonte area, according to police.
GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI — A Grosse Pointe Farms middle school was thrown into lockdown Thursday morning as officers search for a suspected robber in the area, according to school officials.
Brownell Middle School on Chalfonte Avenue near Belanger Avenue was locked down as a precaution while officers search yards in the Mack and Chalfonte area, according to police.
The suspected robber stole items from Village Food Market at Mack and McKinley avenues Thursday morning, and then flashed a possible handgun when confronted by an employee, according to police.
