Grosse Pointe Pump Station Loses Power After Storms
Officials urged Grosse Pointe residents to remove anything valuable from their home's basement floor.
GROSSE POINTE, MI — Officials urged Grosse Pointe residents to remove anything valuable from their home's basement floor after Wednesday's severe thunderstorms knocked out power to the city's pump station.
Officials said seven poles are down to one line from Grosse Pointe Court, and the second line is down on Charlevoix Avenue from Lakeland Street to Grosse Pointe Farms.
Officials said in a statement they "notified DTE of the critical nature of the pump station being down and they are working at removing trees and debris to assess and repair the lines."
