Grosse Pointe South Girls Hoops Gains State Finals Rematch Vs. Grand Haven

The rematch is on for the Grosse Pointe South girls basketball team.

The Blue Devils will face Grand Haven again in the state title game after Grosse Pointe South defeated Dexter 48-29 on Friday afternoon at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

Cierra Rice scored 21 points to lead the Blue Devils in the Class A state semifinal matchup against Dexter.

With the victory, Grosse Pointe South improved its record to 25-1 overall and advanced to Saturday’s state championship game at the Breslin Center.

There the Blue Devils will meet undefeated Grand Haven, which upended Grosse Pointe South in last year’s final.

Tipoff is at noon. Tickets are $10.
