Happy Feet: Grosse Pointe Fishflies Beat the Heat at Meet
The Grosse Pointe Fishflies, a running club for elementary school students, held a meet Friday at Lake Front Park.

The running club for elementary school students in Grosse Pointe listened to speeches by cross country coach Steve Zaranek and Grosse Pointe North cross country coach Chris Cooper before the meet.
More than 120 boys and girls competed in events such as the 1 1/4-mile run, hurdles, steeplechase, 40-yard dash and relay race.
