Letter to the Editor: Grosse Pointe Woods Councilwoman Decides Not to Seek Re-election
With her term set to expire in November, Lisa Pinkos Howle has opted to not seek re-election for her seat on the Grosse Pointe Woods City Council.

I have decided not to run for a third term on the Grosse Pointe Woods City Council at this time. Instead, I'm considering making a more significant contribution at a later date. Unfortunately, the current dynamics of the present Council precludes me from making necessary changes for a healthy Grosse Pointe Woods. However, I leave knowing that the City Administrator, City Treasurer/Comptroller and Chief of Police, key employees in Grosse Pointe Woods, are capable and trustworthy.
I also want to acknowledge and thank all the residents and business owners who have participated in the grass roots efforts over the years to get things done! Your dedication and hard work have been a tremendous help to the City.Â
Thank you for your support,Â
