Livestream Michigan vs. Idaho In Little League World Series

The Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little Leaguers will take on the Coeur d'Alene all stars from Boise on Friday. Here's how you can watch.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Michigan will take on Idaho on Friday afternoon in the first round of the Little League World Series. The Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little Leaguers are scheduled to play the boys from Coeur d’Alene at 4 p.m. EST at the famous Howard J. Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The boys from Grosse Point are representing the Great Lakes region after going undefeated in the regional tournament (4-0) and trouncing Indiana in the championship Saturday. Jarren Purify and Brennan Hill have been the engine that propelled the Grosse Pointe offense forward. Purify collected nine hits in the regionals, including two home runs, three triples, and three doubles. He knocked in eight RBIs and scored nine runs. Meanwhile, Hill collected five hits — three of which were home runs — and drove in 10 RBIs. He also scored five runs.

As impressive as his offense has been, Hill was equally as devastating on the mound. He lead the team in innings pitched with 8.2 and struck out a whopping 19 batters. Hill enters the World Series tournament with a sparkling .692 ERA and only allowed five hits.

Coeur d’Alene, representing the Northwest, went 4-1 in the regional tournament, defeating Montana 2-0 on Saturday to win the championship. Idaho's offense was lead by Avrey Cherry and Cooper Smith. Cherry collevted seven hits in the regionals and scored a team-high eight runs while driving in four RBIs. Smith collected five hits and knocked in a team-leading seven RBIs. He also walked six times. The defense has been lead by pitcher Christopher Reynolds, who has been dominant over 11.2 innings of work. He struck out an impressive 24 batters and allowed three runs — zero earned — on seven hits and five walks. He enters the World Series sporting a flawless .00 ERA.
