Man Killed In Harper Woods Shooting: Police

A man in his 30s was fatally shot in Harper Woods early Saturday morning, police said.

HARPER WOODS, MI — A man in his 30s was fatally shot in Harper Woods early Saturday morning, police said.

Officers were en route to a home on the 20400 block of Fleetwood Drive near Harper and Vernier roads to reports of a "disturbance in the street" at 12:30 a.m.

When officers arrived in the area, they found evidence of an assault, but did not find a victim, police said.

Police later determined the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, police said.

Police have not made an arrest in connection to the shooting, or identify a possible shooter.

Officials said they believe the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public.

Detectives were still investigating the shooting.
