North Boys Swim Team Competes in State Meet
The Grosse Pointe North Boys swimming and diving team competed in a statewide meet Saturday earning many state qualifying times in several events.

The Boys Simming and Diving Team competed in the Michigan Inter-Scholastic Swimming Coaches Association Swim Meet at Eastern Michigan University on Saturday Feb. 11.

Christian Mellos finished 15 in the 200 yard individual medley and second in the 100 yard breastroke. His times in both events were D2 State qualifying times.
Justin Rakowicz finished 11 in the 200 yard freestyle and eighth in the 500 yard freestyle. His times in both events were D2 State qualifying times.

Matthew Leone finished 65 in the 50 yard freestyle and 42 in the 100 yard backstroke. His times in the backstroke was a D2 State qualifying time.
James McNelis finished fifth in the one meter diving event.
The 200 yard medley relay of Matthew Leone, Christian Mellos, Justin Rakowicz and Peter Shea finsihed in 13 place in a D2 State qualifying time.
The 400 yard freestyle relay of Justin Rakowicz, Patrick Turnbull, Peter Shea, and Christian Mellos, finished in 23 place in a D2 State qualifying time.
