Police Investigating Harper Woods Shooting
Officers have not arrested the shooter, police said.
HARPER WOODS, MI — Police are investigating a Thursday shooting that sent multiple schools into lockdown in Harper Woods.
Police said the shooting happened in the area of Woodcrest Street and Lansdowne Avenue near Moross and Kelly roads.
Police urged residents in the area to shelter in place.

The shooting was not school-related, according to police.

"False information is being spread that this incident is school-related," police said in a statement. "Locking down schools for an incident occurring nearby is standard procedure."
