Reigning Football State Champs Top South
Grosse Pointe South and University Liggett both lost Saturday in their first round football playoff games.
Cass Tech, the back-to-back state champs, defeated Grosse Pointe South Saturday in the first round of the MHSAA football playoffs.
Cass Tech won 35-0 over the Blue Devils, who finish the season 6-4.
University Liggett also lost Saturday in first round football action. Liggett lost 27-14 to Southfield Christian and finished the season 5-5.
