Title Chase Begins for Prep Football Teams

The regular season has come to a close.

Now, football squads from all over the state are set to start their run at a state championship.

The criteria for a spot in the postseason is a tough one, however.

Teams with six regular-season wins earn an automatic spot in the playoffs, but those with five wins or fewer had to sweat it out, with spots going to teams based on playoff points.

The culmination of this postseason comes Nov. 27-28 at Ford Field in Detroit. That’s where each of the state’s eight division titles will be handed out.

All contests kick off at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 unless otherwise noted.
