Woods park pass procedure changing

City implements several changes to park-pass policy for 2016

Grosse Pointe Woods —Several changes are coming to the park pass program in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Residents, who need the pass to enter the city’s Lake Front Park, can expect a little different procedure in 2016.

Here’s a quick glance at the changes to the procedure.

  • 2016 passes are valid from Jan. 1, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2016. Passes in previous years were valid from May 1 to April 30 of the following year.
  • Applications can now be found in the Nov. issue of city’s Update newsletter.
  • New passes are available at community center beginning Dec. 1.
  • Passes are not needed for children 8-years old or less.
  • Each pass allows one guest per weekday without a punch from May 1 to Sept. 30. From Oct. 1 to April 30, each pass allows one guest without a punch every day.
