5 Places to Donate Blood in October

Here are five local places to donate blood during the month of October.

Approximately every two seconds a patient in the United States needs blood, according to a press release from the American Red Cross and during the month of October, donors will be eligible to win a $200 gift card, courtesy of Suburban Propane.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or redcrossblood.org. 

Here are five local places where Hartland residents can donate during the month of October.

October 3 from 10 a.m.- 3:45 p.m.

  • St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital: Come to donate for a chance to win tickets to the MSU-UM football game.
October 7 at 1 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
  • First United Methodist Church in Howell. Come to donate for a chance to win tickets to the MSU-UM football game. 
October 9 at 1 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
  • St. John Catholic Church in Howell. Come to donate for a chance to win tickets to the MSU-UM football game.
October 11 at 10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
  • Howell Carnegie District Library. Come to donate for a chance to win tickets to the MSU-UM football game.
October 13 at 10 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
  • St Mary Magdalen in Brighton. Come to donate for a chance to win tickets to the MSU-UM football game.
