2. In the community
100 Women Who Care is a non profit organization of women who in Livingston County who gather and make major changes to the county through charity and positive energy. All women are encouraged to attend the fall meeting in September at 2/42 Church in Brighton.

3. In case you missed it
Hartland's own Walter Johnston has made it to the Top Ten in the Home of Brave National Anthem contest sponsored by the Detroit Tigers and Comerica Bank. To watch and vote for Johnston's entry submission, click here.

Whether you are the family photojournalist or want better photos for your projects, this class will teach you to capture better photos.

5. Fall football
The first home game of the season is on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
