Thomas and Patricia Zuhl gifted the college $250,000 to support Internationalization
efforts with two funds:

Thomas Zuhl traveled to Japan as a member of the Japan Adventure study abroad program
offered by LCC from 1982-2017. β€œYou go overseas and when you look at the television
programs, the news programs, they spend a third of the time on international news,”
said Zuhl. β€œHere in the United States, it’s a snippet. Even in our schools, we don’t
teach much about other countries that are involved with the United States. It’s a
world. It’s a world.”

β€œThomas and Patricia Zuhl are hopeful that this donation will bring back programs
to allow someone else the chance to broaden their horizons in the college experience
at LCC,” said LCC Foundation Executive Director Cathy Zell.
