Cromaine in Need of Banned Book Readers Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are four things to help fuel your week in Hartland.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Hartland to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. In the community

Cromaine Library still has room for more readers during their Banned Books Read-out on September 28 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call the reference department if you would like to read. 810-632-5200 ext. 104.

2. For the kids
Swim lessons are still available for this Fall! Session runs from November 2nd to December 18th.Register at hartlandcommunityed.com or call the pool at 810-626-2279.

3. Names in the news
Riley Patzer, Breanna Patzer, Ryann Bordeaux, Carter Bordeaux and Maribeth Presley raised $109 by walking their neighbors dogs this summer which was then donated to the local animal shelter.

4. Save the date
MSU Extension Educator, Joyce McGarry will teach the proper procedures 
for preserving and processing food. Learn the basics of water bath 
canning, pressure canning and freezing foods. Register online at www.cromaine.org and meet at Cromaine Library in the Village.
