Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are some events you should know about in the Hartland area.

1. Hartland Senior Center Trash to Treasure Sale
- When: August 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Hartland Senior Center
- What: Proceeds from the sale go to benefit programs at the senior center.
- When: Saturday, August 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: The event takes place at the estate of Steve and Patty Gronow located at 3800 Chilson Rd. in Howell.
- What: The event benefits Love, Inc. of Livingston County which provides resources for local families.
- When: August 2-4
- Where: Downtown Brighton
- What: Visitors can speak one-on-one with artisans about their original works in glass, watercolor, oils, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, woodcarvings and more.
- When: August 2
- Where: Pinckney High School Cafeteria
- What: The theme is a sock hop- so be sure to sport your 50's attire and get ready for a day of speakers, music, food, and over 60 exhibitors. This event is completely free to attend and should be the best year yet.
- When: August 3
- Where: Brighton State Recreation Area
- What: All the food and activities, such as horseshoes, canoeing, archery
and more, will be available for FREE to Livingston County veterans and their families.
