  2. Lansing Mayor Andy Schor officially announced on Monday that he would not be running for the congressional 7th District seat, which represents Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Shiawassee, and Livingston counties. The news comes after Schor announced an exploratory committee to look into the option for him to run. In a statement, Schor said of the decision, "While it would be an honor to serve our residents in Congress, and I’m grateful to have had the conversations about the very important issues of our district, state, and nation, I have decided to suspend any further efforts to explore this campaign in order to focus on our city and my job as mayor." (Lansing State Journal)
  3. The founder of Bell's brewery celebrated his second Oberon Day since selling the brewery in 2021 by donating $200,000 to Michigan State University's (MSU) hospitality program. MSU Public Relations Manager Alex Tekip said of the donation, "This fund will support a course called ‘Hospitality Beverages,’ in which students ages 21 and up offer sensory assessments of wine, beer, spirits, and other beverages."
